Donation Designation: Give Where You Live
If your workplace participates in a United Way Workplace Campaign but is located in a community other than Plymouth or Canton, Michigan, you can designate your United Way donation to Plymouth Community United Way. To designate your donation, select or write in “PLYMOUTH COMMUNITY UNITED WAY” on the designation portion of the pledge form you received from your Workplace Campaign Coordinator.
Donor-Designated Funds
Plymouth Community United Way understands that some donors choose to direct a portion of their gift to a specific agency. Any agency receiving designations must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
If you wish to make a designation to a specific organization, the following is required:
- Confirm that the agency you wish to donate to is a legally recognized 501(c)(3), non-profit organization by visiting Guidestar or contact your designated agency.
- The designation amount must be at least $50.
- Provide complete agency information, including the name, street address, city and state to ensure that your designated gift goes to the correct agency (many have similar names)
- Submit designation information at the time of the pledge by including the agency on your pledge form.
A Plymouth Community United Way Campaign Coordinator is always available to assist you with this process or to answer any questions. Just call: 734-453-6879 or email: [email protected].
In compliance with United Way Worldwide membership standards, some designations will be assessed a fee to cover PCUW’s administrative and fundraising costs. Donations will revert to Plymouth Community United Way if the agency does not comply with the Plymouth Community United Way’s Designation Policy.
