Partner Agencies and Grant Recipients

Angela Hospice

Angela Hospice provides comprehensive, compassionate, and Christ-like hospice care to the community of Southeast Michigan. A pioneer in the hospice movement, Angela Hospice opened the first freestanding center of its kind in Michigan and developed specialized prenatal and pediatric programs. They have expanded their community outreach with grief support groups, family support, educational programs, and on-site speaking engagements, all offered free of charge.

First Step

The mission of First Step is to reduce the incidences of domestic and sexual violence and to provide services to individuals affected by these crimes. Prevention of domestic and sexual violence through education, advocacy, and appropriate intervention is the ultimate goal of First Step. Their work is based on the belief that domestic and sexual violence are damaging to those individuals directly involved and to society as a whole. A 24-hour helpline and temporary shelter are a few benefits of the program.

Growth Works

A licensed non-profit substance abuse provider, Growth Works has been serving individuals and families throughout Western Wayne County for since 1971. Through this experience, Growth Works has developed current, relevant, and successful programming to meet the needs of individuals struggling with chemical dependency and delinquent behaviors.

New Hope Center for Grief Support

New Hope is a Christian-based bereavement outreach center that provides age and loss specific grief support services to adults, teens, and children through groups, individual support, seminars, and other resources. New Hope will provide you with an opportunity to talk to someone about your grief and to learn about all of their services and resources available. Their goal is to help each individual who seeks their services find HOPE and healing.

Plymouth Community Council on Aging

The Council on Aging is a non-profit organization which coordinates programs to promote and safeguard the independence and well being of senior citizens 55 years and older in the Plymouth community. It provides community bus transportation, nutritional education, tax preparation assistance, health awareness programs, a monthly newsletter, and other programs to help the elderly residents of the community.

Senior Citizens Club of Plymouth

The Senior Citizen Club provides multi-purpose services to enhance the quality of life through socialization for the seniors of Plymouth and neighboring communities.

The Salvation Army – Plymouth Corps

The Salvation Army is an international movement whose goal is to provide basic emergency human services to families and individuals in crisis. Its mission is to meet human needs without discrimination. Currently serving the communities of Plymouth, Canton, Northville, Belleville, Van Buren, and Sumpter Townships, they respond to those who are poor, marginalized, lost or battling systemic or personal oppressions. The Salvation Army – Plymouth Corps helps maintain a level of stability for families and individuals served by ensuring a sense of hope. They operate one of the largest local food pantries, assist with utility and rent, offer youth camping opportunities, and are an integral part of the community-wide safety net.

YMCA of Metro Detroit – Plymouth Branch

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit, values-based human development organization serving southeastern Michigan. A part of the worldwide YMCA movement, the YMCA Plymouth Branch is committed to strengthening and enriching the development of kids, families, and the community.
