Comcast Cares day 2017 was a great success!

Plymouth Community United Way (PCUW) partnered with Pearls of Great Price Coalition, S.O.A.P. Metro Detroit, and Comcast Cares Day. Roughly 140 volunteers from the local community, Comcast, and Comcast affiliates, as well as an additional 60-70 volunteers from the Salem Key Club, and the seniors from Tonquish Creek Senior Community (Senior Citizens Club of Plymouth) labeled 20,000 bars of soap. The labels contain information to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking, including a hotline to call for help. PCUW would especially like to thank Rhonda Hines (SOAP Metro Detroit) for her informative talk regarding human sex trafficking and how to fight it and her guest for sharing her personal experience with trafficking. A special thank you to Plymouth First United Methodist Church for hosting this event, Comcast for providing breakfast with the Plymouth Community United Way, and all of the volunteers who came out to support this important event.
